Brazilian National Health System between liberal and public systems traditions

This essay analyses some historical elements of the Brazilian National Health System, trying to understand the historical effects of two traditions in healthcare: the liberal and the national public way to organize healthcare. Some social actors are also studied, particularly the Brazilian sanitary reform social movement.
