Abstract in Portuguese:

RESUMO Graças às políticas de ações afirmativas com reserva de vagas nas universidades públicas brasileiras vivemos atualmente um período de visibilidade de negros/as, indígenas, pessoas de baixa renda, quilombolas, populações LGBTT+, dentre outras. Essas presenças diversas no contexto universitário nos convidam ao exercício reflexivo sobre o ser/fazer universidade. Ao concluir nossas formações em nível superior, nos encontramos nas lutas cotidianas de buscar oportunidades profissionais que abarquem esses/as sujeitos/as em um sistema capital que continua estruturado por várias perspectivas opressivas, como o racismo e o sexismo. Assim, a partir das propostas teóricas de Alberto Guerreiro Ramos sobre a relação entre o negro-tema e o negro-vida e do amor como prática de liberdade de bell hooks, este artigo pretende tecer algumas grafias de re-existências diante da participação de uma antropóloga negra em concursos públicos para o cargo de magistério superior em universidade pública do sul do Brasil.

ABSTRACT Thanks to affirmative action policies which guarantee vacancies in Brazilian public universities, we are currently experiencing a period of visibility of black, indigenous, low income, quilombolas, and LGBTTQIA populations, among others. These diverse presences within the university context invite us to put into practice the reflexive exercise of being/doing university. Once we finish our higher-level studies, we find ourselves in a daily struggle to seek professional opportunities that embrace these specific subjects, in a capital system that continues to be structured by various oppressive perspectives such racism and sexism. The article is based on the theoretical assumptions of Alberto Guerreiro Ramos on the relationship between the black-theme and the black-life, and also on bell hooks notion of love as a practice of freedom from bell hooks. It aims to comment on some lines of re-existences in face of the participation of a black female anthropologist in public tenders applying for positions of higher education teaching at a public university in the south of Brazil.

RESUMO Este artigo analisa as relações de coexistência entre as práticas informais de cuidados realizadas nas periferias e as administrações de Estado. A etnografia foi realizada num complexo de favelas situado na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro. A análise procura ressaltar as dinâmicas de interdependência entre as casas de moradoras de favela que “tomam conta” de crianças e as creches públicas. A partir das reflexões sobre os cuidados transacionados nesses espaços, busca-se refletir sobre as ideias de dependência, Estado provedor, sexualidade e reprodução feminina. A complementaridade entre esses lugares aponta para a existência de relações de cuidados nas quais dinâmicas de vulnerabilidade, escassez e demanda por recursos sociais são elementos de disputa que remetem a processos de reprodução estratificada de desigualdades históricas de gênero, classe, sexualidade, território e raça.

ABSTRACT This article analyzes the relations of coexistence between informal care practices carried out in the peripheries in their interface with State administrations. The ethnography was carried out in a slum complex located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The analysis seeks to highlight the dynamics of interdependence between houses of slum dwellers who take care of “children” alongside public daycare centers. From the reflections on the care transacted in these spaces, we seek to reflect on the ideas of dependency, the provider state, sexuality and female reproduction. The complementary relationship between these places points to the existence of local care circuits in which relations of vulnerability, scarcity and demand for social resources are elements of dispute that refer to processes of stratified reproduction of historical inequalities of gender, class, sexuality, territory and race.

RESUMO Este artigo busca nova análise para dados de campo e interpretações anteriores sobre a circulação de produtos industrializados entre os Wajãpi no Amapá. O foco recai sobre a relação de tipo de imitador(a)-seguidores(as): os interlocutores em campo explicavam que algumas coisas eram amplamente compradas e usadas porque alguém teria comprado primeiro, e os demais, imitado esse iniciador. Em trabalhos anteriores, compreendi que tal processo poderia ser analisado à luz de discussões que estabelecem dois modos de circulação de mercadorias entre povos da América do Sul indígena, um relativo à magnificação de pessoas, outro à consanguinização e ao estabelecimento de relações simétricas. Aqui, busco reexaminar os dados à luz de interpretações das socialidades ameríndias que não partam de noções de propriedade e controle. Sugiro que a assimetria implicada no ato de iniciar uma moda possa ser entendida como a ocupação provisória de uma posição de “saliência”.

ABSTRACT This article re-analyses field data and former interpretations on the circulation of industrial goods among Wajãpi people in the Brazilian state of Amapá. The relation focused here is that of initiator-followers. Interlocutors in the field explained the acquisition of some goods by implying there is always an initiator who is followed by other in buying certain articles. I have formerly described this dynamic by associating Wajãpi explanations to discussions that state the existence of two ways of goods circulation among Lowland South American Indigenous peoples, one leading to magnification processes, another to kinship-making and symmetrical relations. This article re-examines initiator-followers process in the light of interpretations of Amerindian socialities that forgo notions of ownership and control. I suggest that the initiator of an action temporarily occupies a position of “salience”.

RESUMO Este texto pretende debater a difusão do futebol em comunidades indígenas ecoando seu reconhecido potencial universalizante. Apesar de incipientes interpretações teóricas desde o ponto de vista etnológico, sua prática é amplamente descrita em etnografias de variadas regiões. A proposta é a retomada de obras que trabalharam o tema na demonstração de suas relações com instituições tradicionais e modalidades nativas. A expansão do futebol promove transformações que passam pela pacificação das relações interétnicas; esportificação de disputas corporais; ressignificação estética; anexação onomástica. Enfim, é incorporado a partir do conjunto de relações próprias a cada contexto. A conexão entre essas obras seminais e o material etnográfico elaborado em pesquisas realizadas junto aos Kalapalo do Alto Xingu visa demonstrar as possibilidades de desenvolvimento dos diálogos entre etnologia e antropologia das práticas esportivas.

ABSTRACT This essay intends to discuss the dissemination of football in indigenous communities, echoing its recognized universalizing potential. Despite incipient theoretical interpretations from an ethnological point of view, its practice is widely described in ethnographies from different regions. The proposal is the resumption of works that drove on the theme demonstrating their relations with traditional institutions and native modalities. The development of football promotes transformations through the pacification of interethnic relations; sportification of bodily disputes; aesthetic resignification; onomastic annexation. In short, it is incorporated from the set of relationships proper to each context. The connection between these seminal works and the ethnographic material elaborated in researches carried out with the Kalapalo of the Upper Xingu aims to demonstrate the possibilities of developing dialogues between ethnology and anthropology of sportive practices.

RESUMO Este artigo investiga as terapêuticas de cunho popular no Recôncavo Baiano, compreendidas como ontologias híbridas. Durante a observação em campo e na interlocução com os terapeutas percebemos como os gestos e posturas, procedimentos e enunciados envolvidos nos cuidados de tipo devocional e religioso (rezas, benzeduras, oferendas, possessões) se estendem ao ambiente (ervas, plantas, animais, marés, mato, quintais, movimentos do sol e da lua etc.) numa relação de continuidade. Seguindo essas conexões, ponderamos a relevância da perspectiva pragmática para analisar a conexão entre artefatos terapêuticos (fabricações) e processos vitais (crescimentos), no intuito de mapear algumas configurações agentivas em ontologias híbridas. Consideramos, ainda, o poder transformativo do ritual na produção dessas ontologias.

ABSTRACT This article investigates the popular therapies in the Recôncavo da Bahia, understood as hybrid ontologies. During the observation in the field and in the dialogue with the therapists, we realized how the gestures and postures, procedures and statements involved in devotional and religious care (prayers, blessings, offerings, possessions) extend to the environment (herbs, plants, animals, tides, bush, yards, movements of the sun and moon etc.) in a relationship of continuity. Following these connections, we consider the relevance of the pragmatic perspective to analyze the connection between therapeutic techniques and artifacts (fabrications) and vital processes (growths), in order to map some configurations in hybrid ontologies. We also consider the transformative power of ritual in the production of these ontologies.

RESUMO O objetivo deste artigo é problematizar como a citadinidade skatista, entendida como uma maneira astuciosa, transgressiva e tática de se fazer a cidade, tem sido enquadrada de forma ambivalente por uma série de agenciamentos políticos e urbanísticos: ora visam combate-la, ora intentam impulsioná-la de modo um tanto estratégico a fim de atender a diversos interesses. Serão consideradas análises situacionais que revelarão os processos que permeiam uma citadinidade que preza pela materialidade da cidade e, não obstante, as relações com eventuais normatizações caras ao empresariamento urbano promovido pela parceria público-privada, a qual é sintomática de políticas de cunho neoliberais. Com efeito, ao tentar compreender como os skatistas fazem a cidade a partir de suas lógicas e vivências concretas, almeja-se desvencilhar as análises de perspectivas essencializantes, em prol de uma investigação centrada em processos que intercalam, embaralham e/ou superpõem diferentes planos, espaços, procedimentos e uma rede de agentes e saberes sociotécnicos.

ABSTRACT This article explores the multiple configurations, distinct agencies, negotiations and contradictions which compose the making cities and urban lives. I particularly focus on the tactical negotiations developed by street skateboarders to overcome the restrictive urban policies in São Paulo city. I recognize tactics and strategies as powerful conceptual tools to analyzes how the practice of street skateboarding involves struggles, resistances, transgressions, conflicts and negotiations, and different positions against the structures of power and control produced by urban government policies over the public areas. The São Paulo of skateboarding, therefore, presents itself not as something finished and defined, but in permanent construction due to its relational and situational character.

RESUMO Todos os dias 19 e 20 de janeiro, em São João de Pirabas, celebra-se uma festividade para Rei Sabá. Rei Sabá, corruptela de Rei Sebastião, é uma entidade que pertence ao panteão dos encantados, seres que não conheceram a experiência da morte. Transformando-se em entes que possuem seu próprio território - a encantaria - esses seres se manifestam a partir de Rei Sabá e de outros agentes. Por meio de uma etnografia em andamento, o artigo apresenta os rituais que antecedem a festividade principal do Rei Sabá, dedicadas a São Sebastião. O objetivo é descrever como as religiões da encantaria marcam e produzem esta cidade no nordeste paraense.

ABSTRACT Every year on January 19th and 20th the municipality of São João de Pirabas celebrates Rei Sabá. Rei Sabá. As a version of of the King Sebastian (Rei Sebastião), he is an entity that belongs to the pantheon of the encantados, beings who did not know the experience of death. These encantados transform themselves into entities that have their own territory - the encantaria - and manifest themselves from Rei Sabá and others agents. Based on an ongoing research, the article presents the rituals that precede the main feast of Rei Sabá, dedicated to St. Sebastian (São Sebastião). The purpose is to describe how the religions of encantaria mark and produce the city itself.

RESUMO Este texto se debruça sobre testemunhos de graças de devotos de frei Fabiano de Cristo (1676-1747) e de frei Rogério Neuhaus (1859-1934), a fim de discutir as noções de carisma e agência. O material analisado consiste em cartas escritas pelos devotos e encontradas em suas biografias e em arquivos franciscanos. A reflexão sobre o carisma se mostrou um bom meio de pôr em tela as discussões sobre divíduo, indivíduo e agência. Na esteira da agenda de pesquisa da antropologia dos últimos anos, que objetiva ir além de certa “razão sociológica”, este texto afirma que, para compreender as relações entre frades e seus devotos, parece prejudicial ter que escolher entre carisma de função ou individual. Nessas cartas, a agência não pode ser somente encontrada nem no indivíduo, nem na instituição e sim diluída em toda a malha que reúne divindades, humanos e outras coisas. Além disso, o artigo argumenta que os testemunhos de graça evocam uma noção de divíduo.

ABSTRACT This paper analyses the grace testimonies of devotees of friar Fabiano de Cristo (1676-1747) and friar Rogério Neuhaus (1859- 1934), in order to discussing the notions of charism and agency. The analyzed material consists in votary’ letters that can be found at biographies and Franciscan archives office. The reflection about charism allowed discuss anthropological notions like dividual, individual and agency. Following the anthropological research agenda, that aims to go bellowed of the sociologic reason, this text affirms that choice between charism of function and individual charism is not a good way to understanding the relations between friars and votary. In the votary’ letters, the agency cannot be found nether just in the individual, nor just in the institution. The agency is diluted in the meshwork that joins divinity, human and others things. Besides that, the paper evokes a notion of dividual.

RESUMO Esse artigo apresenta parte do material de pesquisa oriundo da minha tese de doutorado, desenvolvido junto à comunidade kilombola Morada da Paz, também conhecida como Território de Mãe Preta. A comunidade está localizada na zona rural do município de Triunfo/RS e é formada majoritariamente por mulheres negras. Caracteriza-se por ser uma comunidade espiritual que segue as orientações de uma preta-velha, Mãe Preta, e um exu, Seu Sete. Foi com as mais velhas da comunidade, reconhecidas como Yas e Baba, que aprendi sobre o conceito de ocupação. O intuito aqui é recuperar esse conceito, apresentando suas singularidades na relação com outros entendimentos de ocupação. Argumento, por fim, que, assim como as “retomadas” indígenas e a “reativação” das bruxas neopagãs estadunidenses, a ocupação elaborada pela Morada, é também uma “receita de resistência” contra as investidas coloniais e capitalistas.

ABSTRACT This article presents part of the research material from my doctoral dissertation, developed with the Morada da Paz kilombola community, also known as the Territory of Mãe Preta. The community is located in the rural area of Triunfo, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and is formed mainly by black women. It is characterized by being a spiritual community that follows the guidelines of a preta velha, Mãe Preta, and an exu, Seu Sete. It was from the elders in the community, recognized as Yas and Baba, which I learned about the concept of occupation. The aim here is to recover this concept, presenting its singularities in relation to other understandings of occupation. Finally, I argue that, like the indigenous “retakes” and the “reclaim” of American neo-pagan witches, the occupation elaborated by Morada is also a “recipe for resistance” against colonial and capitalist attacks.

RESUMO O artigo pretende acessar, por meio da indicação de representações comuns a respeito da prostituição e da prostituta dita de luxo, as fantasias relacionadas a este contexto e a estas mulheres como de “exclusividade”, “distinção” e da figura imaginada da “prostituta universitária”. Busca-se então entender como estas representações, de ampla circulação (tanto no senso comum quanto na produção mediática e acadêmica) atuam como dispositivos de mercado, estratégicos para moderar a visibilidade das práticas “altamente sigilosas” relacionadas ao agenciamento, venda e consumo de sexo prostituído de alto escalão. Ao longo desta discussão, analisa-se as formas pelas quais se constrói a ideia de distinção da “prostituição de luxo”.

ABSTRACT Based on the indication of common representations about high end prostitution and luxury prostitute, the article aims to access the fantasies related to this context and to the prostitutes. Both the context and the subjects are informed by ideas as “exclusivity”, “distinction” and the imagined figure of the “college educated prostitute”. The article seeks to understand how these widely circulated representations (in common sense, in the media and academic production) act as market devices, strategically moderating the visibility of “highly confidential” practices related to the agency, sale and consumption of high end sex with prostitutes. Throughout this discussion, it analyzes the ways in which the idea of distinguishing “high end prostitution” is constructed.

RESUMO Esse artigo reflete como determinadas formas de governo, apreendidas etnografi- camente por meio de minha inserção como pesquisador em uma instância administrativa na Baixada Fluminense do Rio de Janeiro, são (re)elaboradas na atuação de um “serviço” destinado a “homens autores de violência doméstica”. Nesse sentido, trata-se de uma investigação acerca de processos de formação de Estado, cuja ênfase encontra-se nas práticas, dinâmicas e interações estabelecidas cotidianamente por administradores - “os técnicos” - e administrados - “os homens” -, bem como entre diferentes instâncias e dispositivos estatais. Procuro compreender tanto a produção contínua do Estado “em ato”, privilegiando tanto as dinâmicas constitutivas dos modos de fazer da administração, quanto os modos de subjetivação que, a partir de uma série de constrangimentos conduzidos pelas formas específicas de gestão a que estão submetidos, são operacionalizados pelos sujeitos atendidos pela instância etnografada.

ABSTRACT This article reflects on how certain forms of government are (re)elaborated through the performance of a “service” aimed at “men who commit domestic violence. The material is ethnographically elaborated and is based on my insertion as a researcher in an administrative instance in the Baixada Fluminense of Rio de Janeiro. In this sense, it is an investigation about State formation processes, emphasizing the practices, dynamics and interactions established on a daily basis by administrators - “the technicians” - and administrated - “the men” -, as well as between different instances and state devices. The article attempts to understand the continuous production of the State “in action”, privileging the dynamics that constitute the administration’s ways of doing, as well as the modes of subjectification that are operationalized by the subjects attended at this ethnographic instance. To do that, it considers a series of constraints conducted by the specific forms of management the subjects are exposed to.
