Giving continuity to the "Alternative Therapeutic Methods" discipline (MTA) implemented at the UFSC Nursing Undergraduation Course in 1990, attention was focused on the students who obtained their degrees. The purpose was to test the use these professional make of alternative therapies in the nursing assistance offered by them. None of those who were interviewed adopted a contrary position, and the majority declared to make use of one or more of such therapies in the assistance givem to the population at the stations where they worked.
