Sharing experiences with nurses that assist the oncologic child led us make an investigation to clarify the meaning of this caring. The phenomenological method was used and we listened to such nurses speech. The hermeneutics of these speeches shows that this caring has two features: - how the oncologic child exibits himself to the nurse; - what this caring means to this child. This knowledge permits us find one way to understand the oncologic child.
