A study of ethics in research as published by a graduate nursing program

This study of exploratory character and quantitative approach looks to analyze the ethical aspects referred to in research involving human beings, published by nurses as collections for a master's program in nursing degree, during the period from 1998 to 2000. We used the ethical parameters that should be adopted in all the scientific investigations as a reference, outlined in the Resolution dealing with research involving human beings of the Ministry of Education. For collection effect and data analysis, the data was divided into three groups: total approach of the ethical aspects, partial approach, and approach of the operational aspects to execute the research. Among the publications, we analyzed 67 studies involving human beings that held some ethical aspects. In these, we observed that concerned nurses exist with the problem, although the ethical aspects have been approached in their totality, in just one study. We concluded that the respect of those ethical aspects, in the accomplishment of the research, represents the possibility of a more committed care for the customer's well-being.
