Difficulties faced by nurses that work in surgery

The present study identifies the difficulties faced by nurses that work in a surgical center of a large hospital. We outlined questions concerning the surgical center unit and the nurses' formal education. This study is qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory. Four nurses were the participants of this research. The tools used to collect the data were the open interview, following guiding questions and the field diary. Two themes emerged from the testimonies. The first refers to the difficulties linked to interpersonal relationships among the teams and communication among the professionals. The second one refers to the deficiency and lack of materials, equipment, and people. It is clear that thematic questions from this area are not depleted in this research. Questions remain, which permit and require future examination.
