The space of dialog in nursing research: experience report aboyt the data collecting phase

This work consists of an experience report that aims to reflect upon the importance of creating a dialogic space in the process of nursing research, especially during the phase of data collection, as a way to qualify the teaching and research process itself. The experience was carried out from March until August of 2006, when nursing students collected data through interviews for a quantitative study from a population of 532 nursing workers of a University Hospital. During this period, dialogic meetings between the involved workers and researchers occurred, aiming to make the exchange of experiences possible, as well as the establishment of a space where they could express their feelings and difficulties, and where the construction of strategies for action and learning can happen. The experience was significant; pointing out that learning in research must be associated to a dialogic process between those involved, making its autonomy and commitment possible.
