Birdshot Chorioretinopathy and retinal neovascularization

SUMMARY

The authors describe a unusual case of retinal neovascularization in a patient with sistemic arterial hipertension and Birdshot Chorioretinopathy. In addition to the uveitis, there were perivascular retinal hemorrhages, discrete venous oclusions, retinal neovascularization and transient vitreous hemorrhages. This findings may be related to cofactors as chronic vasculitis and the presence of capillary nonperfusion areas associated to a hipertensive retinal vasculopathy.
