A proposition to videolaparoscopy in rats

Abstract

The authors present the possibility of using videolaparoscopy in rats. Ten Wistar rats were used. The procedure was done with a optical system of 3mm, 30 degrees, used in artroscopy. The visibility of the intracavitary organs was very satisfactory. Special needles and delicate instruments were necessary to perform the operative procedures. The experimental model, in rats, was feasible.
