From the subject to the parlêtre: a path

Abstract:

This article deals with the concepts of subject and parlêtre according to the perspectives of Lacanian teaching. We tried to discuss the Cartesian propositions about being and the splits of the Self present in Freud’s work, as well as the evanescent feature of the subject, as stated by Lacan. We have developed the jouissance question from the structuralist bias that presupposes a mortified body to its conception as a substance of the living body. The indication of a jouissance prior to language has theoretical and clinical consequences, making it necessary to revisit both Cartesian dualism and Freudian unconscious.
