Indirect determination of topographic coordinates using total station and mirror

This paper presents the methodology and results in the positioning of points in an industrial environment, not in the field of view of the total station. To this end, methods have been developed and equipment, such as a mirror plane of accuracy and support to move it vertically and horizontally, to set targets in the mirror and in the invar sub tense bar, calibration procedures of sub tense bar of Invar and targets set in the mirror. With the application of the method was possible to divert the target of total station and thereby determine coordinates it points outside the field of view of the total station. The results demonstrated the method feasibility.
