ABSTRACT

The article debates the social and political relevance of women’s history, as well as the diversity of Brazilian women, their stories, and the current plural feminisms. talks about the “danger of a single story,” that may reinforce prejudices, emptying senses, values, and struggles. A single story dehumanizes the subjects if it is negative and partial. It is important to reflect on how women have been acting in history and what challenges persist.
