ABSTRACT
The work analyzed elements of the professional profile and aspects of the trajectory of women university managers of higher education institutions in Ibero-America–Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, and Peru–, between 2010 and 2020. The investigation has a qualitative approach, is located in the recent history of education, and it was carried out through interviews. The collected data was analyzed according to categories in Laurence Bardin (2016). The results indicated managers with post-doctoral training for the functions of deans and area coordinators. Confrontations were found, with no indication of ways to combat them.
