Abstract
This article analyzes the relevance and the role of a translatorreader in the translated work of French writer Maurice Blanchot, using as example the translation of Blanchot’s narrative Aminadab. In this article, the following themes will be addressed: Blanchot’s reading as translator task in the Benjaminian sense, the issue of re-creation and mourning in the translation context, the hospitality proposed by Jacques Derrida and the ethical work suggested by Emmanuel Levinas, according to the relationship that is established with the other, and finally, the importance of being an experienced reader of a foreign work to be translated.
