Subjectivity production: the lesson of O homem que copiava

On the basis of a theoretical framework which will enable us to reflect on Modernity and assuming a discursive perspective in language studies, the purpose of this paper is to explore the productivity of the concept of subjectivity as defined by Deleuze, Guattari and other authors who distinguish subjectivity production and particular forms of subject as different modes of existence. In order to achieve our goal, we focus on the analysis of Jorge Furtado's film O homem que copiava. Results show some evidence that the discussion may be relevant to Discourse Analysis in what concerns the notions of production conditions, textual loops and discursive practice.
