Cinema de mulheres como resistência à ditadura a partir de uma fonte de pesquisa

ABSTRACT

Studies on cinema and Brazilian dictatorship are generally based on the film production of that period and seek to analyze content, form and discourse. What this article proposes is to follow an unconventional path, starting from a catalog as a historical document that encouraged research on women filmmakers who directed films during the Brazilian military dictatorial regime. With this mapping, it becomes possible to perceive that resistance cinema has specificities, and it is through them that the erasure and the prominence of women in this history will be addressed at the same time. By transgressing social norms and traditional roles, through characters of their films, some women filmmakers became elements of a politics and an aesthetics of resistance that confronted both the dictatorship and patriarchal norms and relations.
