Peregrination of the Rosary between Old Christianity and OverseasAbstract
The text intends to establish a relationship between the spread of the Our Lady of Rosario cult in Portuguese America - principally among Negroes - and the prior Catholicism of Banto Africa. It is concurrent with the advance of the use of the rosary in old Christianity since the end of the 15th century.
