Curriculum, Government and Society: the secondary school education and the formation of social subjets in Colombia (1956 - 2015)

ABSTRACT

This article describes the formation of models in Colombia for educated subjects from the analysis of curriculum and government of secondary education between the years 1956 to 2015. The methodology developed is the historical analysis of the social order of the transmission of knowledge and the silencing of others; likewise, of the norms and behaviors of curricular government for the formation of a certain society. Among the research findings, three educational series are described: 1) the curricular plan and the formation of the administrative subject (1956 - 1970). 2) the systematization of the curriculum based on educational technology for the production of the serial and computerized subject (1978 - 2000). 3) the management of the curriculum for the production of the subject of excellence, entrepreneurship, and innovation (2002 - 2015). The article demonstrates how the secondary education curriculum in Colombia is a sophisticated social technology of knowledge and government; of knowing, insofar as it privileges and orders the social transmission of specific knowledge; of government, as a form, leads, excludes, or resists the constitution of certain social subjects.
