THE EXERCISE OF SOCIOANALYSIS IN TEACHING: AN ARTICULATION BETWEEN SOCIOLOGY AND ACTION-FORMATION-RESEARCH

ABSTRACT

The article argues that socioanalysis, seen as the operationalization of sociological resources to investigate one’s own trajectory, when mobilized as a pedagogical tool, results in the confluence of two traditions of social sciences and education, comprehensive sociology in its varied nuances and action-formation-research. Afterward, it argues that socioanalysis can contribute to capturing the web of social relationships and structural elements that facilitate or hinder staying at university. For this purpose, it presents excerpts from affiliation diaries of two students in the subject Sociology of Education, focused on undergraduated courses at a federal public university. It concluded that the device, inspired by Alain Coulon’s ethnomethodology, offers the possibility of combining sociological knowledge with sensitive listening and inspiring students to mobilize resources like this in their future teaching practices.
