The military coup in Chile and the international politics (1973): an interpretation essay

The paper explores international repercussions of the coup d'État in Chile, in September 11, 1973, which resulted in the death of President Salvador Allende, in the imposition of an authoritarian regime and the end of democracy in that Country. Methodologically this is a research in the political history field. The writing adopts the format of interpretation essay. In this sense, research was conducted in primary documentation consulted at Brazilian diplomatic archives - henceforth AHMRE. It was consulted literature published recently in Brazil and abroad too. It was concluded that the Chilean coup was one of the most dramatic events in the history of international relations of Latin America.
