Ananda S. Antonio holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2013) and a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry (2016) from Federal University of Amazonas. She has experience with forensic chemistry and environmental studies. She is currently working toward a doctor degree in analytical methods and environmental studies at Federal University of Amazonas. Her research project is focused on the development and validation of a method that enables the chemosystematic study of the Ocotea (Lauraceae) genus.

Gabriel D. Fonseca graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) in 2018. He has worked for one year with the Natural Products research group at IME developing his undergraduate thesis regarding capsaicinoids analysis applied to non-lethal weapons. He also developed scientific initiation projects in Nuclear Engineering and Biofuels areas. He is currently working with inspection of controlled products.

He has experience in biotechnological processes in chemical engineering, with emphasis in renewable processes, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Zymomonas mobilis, cybernetic models and neural networks.

She holds a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), Master in Organic Chemistry (2003) and Doctor Degree from the same University (2006). She has experience in Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis in validation and optimization of methodologies.

Valdir Florêncio da Veiga Junior is an Associate Professor III at the Chemical Engineering Department from Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering (IME), in Rio de Janeiro, where coordinates a research group that applies upscaling of bioactive natural products isolation using organic processes and circular economy concepts at resources from biodiversity and agroindustrial wastes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996) with MSc and PhD in Natural Products Chemistry at the same university (2004), with emphasis in Amazonian products. For 12 years, he was Biochemistry Professor at the Chemistry Department from Federal University of Amazonas (2005-17). Being a Productivity in Research fellow from Brazilian research council (CNPq), he was a member of the CAPES and Brazilian pharmacopoeia committees and has published 143 articles in specialized magazines, 13 patents and 38 book chapters, with 50 thesis and dissertations supervised.
