ABSTRACT
This article aims to interpret the emergence of the political party Podemos and the current Spanish political situation, seeking to capture the meanings, relationships and trends of recent protests and proposals vis-à-vis some of the key elements that shaped the previous scenario of social struggles and political disputes in Spain.
