Housing Production Via M arket: Who Produces, How and Where? A Reading of the Recent Real Estate Dynamics Based on Housing Policy

ABSTRACT

The residential real estate recent dynamics in the Greater São Paulo is analyzed from the historical series of 28 years of launches and housing policies produced by governments. The article shows that we have experienced a new cycle, characterized by spreading and the popularization of production and a more consolidated and concentrated market in a few large developers.
