Stuart Schwartz gave the following interview during his last visit to São Paulo, in August 2009, when he was releasing the Brazilian edition of his book All can be saved: religious tolerance and salvation in the Iberian Atlantic world. Schwartz discusses the transformations in the Latin American scholarly world and the new role of "brazilianists" in the last decades, both in Brazilian and North American universities.
