O modelo espanhol

The origins of Spain's current macroeconomic model lie in the modernization programme of the Franco dictatorship from the late 1950s, premised on the development of mass-market tourism from northern Europe and the radical expansion of private home-ownership. The contradictions of the European Community and the Eurozone have complicated an already fragile model, with severe negative effects for Spanish economy and society.
