Tensions between Family and Work Responsibilities: Factors Associated with the Female Precarious Work in Colombia and Brazil

ABSTRACT

Using household survey data and multiple logistic regression, we assess the association between motherhood and female labor participation in precarious work in Colombia and Brazil in 2012 and 2019. Being a mother increases the chance of performing in a precarious position in both countries. Women are more exposed to this situation when children are in childhood or adolescence.
