Open-access Violence is the Core of Politics

In the interview, Gabriel Feltran discusses his career trajectory and violence as the core of politics. Based on ethnographies in the peripheries of São Paulo, he conceptualizes the “world of crime" and the PCC as autonomous regimes of power that challenge the state's monopoly, reflecting on the failure of the democratic project and the rise of totalitarian reactions.
