Black Collectives and New Racial Identities

ABSTRACT

Black collectives started to play a decisive role in the reception of quota students and in the control of affirmative actions in public universities, becoming relevant actors in the fight against systemic racism in higher education. In this article, we analyze strategies, organization, profiles and discourses in collectives active at three universities to propose interpretive hypotheses about the formation of new black identities in Brazil.
