ON SOME "LOST" TYPES OF CERAMBYX AND LEPTURA SPECIES DESCRIBED BY LINNAEUS (1758), AND A NEW SYNONYMY IN RHINOTRAGINI (COLEOPTERA, CERAMBYCIDAE)

ABSTRACT

The depository institution of the types of five species described by Linnaeus (1758)LINNAEUS, C. 1758. Systema naturae per regne tria naturae secundum classes, ordines, genera, species, cum characteribus, differentiis, synonymis, locis Holmiae, Salvius. v. 1, 824p., which is currently recorded as "unknown", is reported to be at the Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Stockholm, Sweden: Cerambyx auratus; C. festivus; C. glaucus; C. stigma; and Leptura necydalea. The synonymy between Acyphoderes odyneroidesWhite, 1855 (currently, Acutiphoderes odyneroides) and Leptura necydaleaLinnaeus, 1758LINNAEUS, C. 1758. Systema naturae per regne tria naturae secundum classes, ordines, genera, species, cum characteribus, differentiis, synonymis, locis Holmiae, Salvius. v. 1, 824p.is proposed, resulting in a new combination: Acutiphoderes necydalea.
