Violence masks: cracks in the specular relation

In the light of a clinical case, the classic case of the Papin Sisters, the violence - based on the omnipotence illusion - in its subjectivity constitutive trajectory, is, herein, briefly discussed. As bases for discussion, we take lacanian conceptions, concerning the specular imaging. Therein, a confrontation is brought about, between the mirror effect and the cut effect, and such a confrontation being constitutive of subjectivity, enhanced via failure, through the focused case, which shows, more clearly, a singular dimension of violence.
