Radical behaviorism and post-modern discourse

In this essay it is argued that radical behaviorism does not support any of the following tenets of modern discourse: foundationism in epistemology, representationism in language and metanarratives of Western progress. It is argued that radical behaviorism is linked to the following tendencies of post-modern discourse: epistemological pragmatism, anti-representacionism in language and the dissolution of the metanarratives of scientific, social, cultural and political progress of the West. Finally, it is suggested that Skinner's thought constitutes a decisive break with modern discourse in psychology, and is allied to post-modern discourse.
