TONI 3: Form A and cloze test: evidence of validity

This study aimed to identify evidences of validity of constructs related to the TONI 3-Form ATest and the Cloze Test. Differences related to gender and education were also analyzed. Ninety-eight second- to fourth-grade students from public schools answered to the TONI 3-Form A and the Cloze Test. There were significant differences between school grades in both tests, but not between the performance of boys and girls. Overall, the results showed weak and moderate correlations between the tests in each grade and in general. It was concluded that the evidence of validity was obtained given the magnitude of the correlations, which showed the communality between the constructs.
