INTRODUCTION: The anesthetic alterations of the umbilical scar in vertical abdominoplasties are usually factors of patient dissatisfaction. CASE REPORT: We present in this article an umbilical stenosis case in a vertical abdominoplasty patient where we preserve two triangular flaps inserted on umbilical stump for treatment and prevention the umbilical stenosis that we called the opposite triangular flaps technique. The aesthetic result obtained with this technique motivates us to use it primarily in our vertical abdominoplasties.
