How porous must a rock be in order to become permeable?

In this short paper, we aim to introduce some important concepts and operations about the application of ideas from percolation and renormalization theories to the study of porous media. The exhibition in the form of problem/solution attempts an educational and non exhaustive view. References are provided at the end.
