The stationary values of voltage amplitude wave in both extremities of a quarter wavelength line were determined trough a transient analysis, for an incident sin-type voltage wavefront. Multiple partial reflections and transmission of the incident wave were taken account, together with the phase shift due to propagation. Generic expressions for the general case of a line of arbitrary length were also determined. It was shown that there is analogy between the formalism developed in this work and the reflection and transmission of electromagnetic waves, in the interface between two different dielectric medium.
