Exploring CERN in the High school physics content

This article aims at showing that even in the world's largest research center, where scientific and technological knowledge is produced, it is possible to transmit knowledge to high school students. Nowadays it is widely defended the need of insertingmodern and contemporary physics topics into high school curricula. The reasons for such kind of innovations are well understood in the academia, since the technological development that surrounds us is remarkable. However, we want to show that even at CERN, "old knowledge'' is still very present, both in the equipment and in the daily life of everybody working in this environment.
