How to open ways to change in medical education: living the reality of change

Abstract:

A Problem-Based Learning model of curriculum is innovating in the teaching of Medicine at Londrina State University. Leveraged by tutorial groups and intelligent options like the Interdisciplinary Practices in Interaction, Service and Community (PINs), and the skills and attitudes program. The new curriculum is developing a critical approach and sense of leadership among students. A relation of cooperation ins established between faculty and students with a view to forming physicians more sensitive to patients' needs and able to offer services that will afford the public improved quality of life.
