Abstract
This article aims to highlight the need for the structuring and recognition of the field of Racial Rights, which reflects for reflection and elucidation of the complexity of ethnic-racial relations in Brazil, with a view to overcoming the inequalities and structural discriminations of society and the law, conformed by modernity/coloniality. Through the analysis of narratives that refer to suicide cases, it is argued that the denial and silencing of the ethnic, cultural and epistemic diversity of subordinate identities condemns them to physical and psychological suffering as an existential condition and that, when ignored by the dominant legal episteme, enunciate the Law as an instrument for the creation and maintenance of privileges and exclusions. The conclusion is that there is a need to break the univocity of law that performs at the same time legal racism and epistemic racism, through the field of Racial Rights, aimed at investigations related to the conditions of re-culture of soricondais-historical humanity, to related investigations to the dimensions of humanity that are structurally denied to them, and to the revision and normative proposition of decolonialism.
