Open-access CREATIVE ECONOMY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION FROM 2001 TO 2022

The creative economy and sustainable development are associated by their centrality in human beings, through the use of creativity as a resource and the challenge of eradicating poverty. This research aims to analyze the existing scientific production on the association between the creative economy and sustainable development from 2001 to 2022. The research is characterized as an exploratory study of a quantitative-qualitative nature, bibliometric, of online documentary analysis in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases, with the aid of the VOSviewer software. The results showed how the field of research on the association between the creative economy and sustainable development is constituted and what are the challenges faced for advances in the area of knowledge. Thus, this research contributes to the association between the themes, by proposing a framework, synthesizing the main lessons and discoveries about the field of study and presenting suggestions for the development of future research, pointing out directions for researchers in various areas, such as Administration, Economics, Social and Environmental Management.
