THE POLITICAL ADMINISTRATION: EPISTEMOLOGY, METHODOLOGY AND STAGE OF ART

This paper aims to understand and categorize the scientific production of the Political Administration. The main idea is to build a state of the art of the concept in order to characterize its contribution drawing an overview of its development, thru bibliometrics analysis. Therefore, it was measured the volume and the journals in which their production becomes known in Brazil. Then, it was analyzed its methodological and epistemological features. The major findings concern to show that, first, the political administration movement is a hybrid sociological approach-in which the analytical matrix seems to be dominant-and, the Political Administration Movement appear in its first developments, with meager empirical evidence in where speculative, exploratory, and essayistic procedures are the mains methods employed.
