ABSTRACT
The book presents the trajectory and work of caricaturist, illustrator and set designer Erasmo Xavier through personal archive documents, testimonies and newspaper and magazine articles. It is a revised and expanded edition of the first version published in 1989. From the various fragments presented, emerge multifaceted, potent and contradictory narratives about the artist and work, contributing to the recent revisions of Brazilian modernism.
