The feeding preference of Diabrotica speciosa Germ. and Cerotoma sp. was evaluated on soybean genotypes Glycine max L. under laboratory conditions. In free and no choice feeding tests using leaf disks, the genotypes BR-82-12547, GO-BR-83-37004 and IAC 8 were the most preferred and damaged; while the genotypes PI 274454, PI 229358 and IAC 742832 were the less preferred in both tests, suggesting to be resistant to the chrysomelids. In free and no choice tests using aqueous extracts of leaves, the genotypes IAC-8, PI 229358 and BR-82-12547 were the most preferred, but PI 274454 and IAC-742832 showed to be resistant to the two insect species.
