Abstract
Stimulated by the double celebration of the bicentenary of the Independence and the centenary of the Modern Art Week, we invite Lilia Schwarcz and André Botelho to a conversation about the possible contributions of the social sciences to a wider, more critical and reflexive framing of these two founding events of Brazilian nationality.
