The objective of the present study was to evaluate the in vitro effect of potassium phosphite on mycelial growth of Agroathelia rolfsii (Sacc.) Redhead & Mullineux, on seed germination and on A. rolfsii incidence in soybean seedlings in infested substrate. Thus, in vitro mycelial growth tests and evaluation of the influence of phosphites on soybean seed germination and A. rolfsii incidence in seedlings were performed. Increasing doses of potassium phosphite reduced the rate of A. rolfsii mycelial growth and the pathogen incidence in soybean seedlings. The percentage of seed germination in colonized soil increased up to the dose of 5.6 µL/100g-1 seeds, without phytotoxic effects.
