Research in organizational competitive: Intelligence using content analysis for the data collection and analysis - Part I

To accomplish the proposed research in the field of organizational competitive intelligence, the authors opted for content analysis in order to process the data collection and analysis. Two techniques of content analysis were used: the lexical analysis and the categories' analysis (themes). In this research, the lexical analysis, whose focus is quantitative, aims at selecting and quantifying the terms related to the organizational competitive intelligence process, such as nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc., found in the instrument used for data collection. On the other hand, the categories' analysis has a qualitative focus, whose objective is to investigate themes related to the organizational competitive intelligence, found in the researched people's speeches.
