The Brazilian syndicalism in the second half of the 90's

This text discusses the relationships between capital and work during the first mandate of the President Fernando Henrique Cardoso (19951998). If this period has brought the stability of the currency and the end of the inflation, on the other hand it has raised the rates of unemployment. Therefore, the theme of unemployment has become the central matter in the agenda of the syndicates. This article tries to answer the following indagations: 1. Which is the specificity of the relationships between capital and work in this period? 2. Which is the treatment given for the work matter in the last year? 3. What is the relationship between government and the syndicates?
