SUMMARY
This paper reports the study of anhydrous ammonia and ammonium sulfate fertilizers, on corn yield. The experiments were carried out in the Experiment Stations at Campinas and Pindorama. The experiment at Campinas, was located on soil classified as "Latossolo Roxo" and in Pindorama, on a "Podzolized soil of Lins-Marilia".
Six treatments were compared in the field experiment in a randomized block design with four replications. All the treatments except the check, received PK fertilization at planting time of about 90 and 30 kg/ha of P2O5, and K2O, respectively.
The yield indicated that anhydrous ammonia as well as ammonium sulfate gave similar results and there were neither significant differences between nitrogen fertilizer yield responses nor between nitrogen time application.
