SUMMARY
Calculations about areas and number of trees are generally made by the sampling process. Through aerial vertical photographs and for the citrus perennial crops a process is being tested for such avaliations, using some "squares on transparencies". Combined with statistics studies, the results until now obtained were analysed showing that the "square on transparencies" of 4 mm2 gave the best results.
