SUMMARY
The influence of zinc sulphate on potted wheat was studied comparatively for two types of soils, in a greenhouse experiment. The soils studied were an Ortho Red-Yellow Latosol (with 33-35 ppm of total zinc) and a Latossolic B Terra-Roxa (with 178 ppm of total zinc). The amounts of zinc sulphate added were: 0, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 kg/ha.
The results showed that 400 kg/ha of zinc sulphate was benefic to wheat cultivated on the Ortho Red-Yellow Latosol but disadvantageous on the Latosolic B Terra-Roxa.
