SUMMARY
Uncinula peruviana Syd. was described upon abundant material collected by Weber-bauer, on leaves of Tecoma grandiceps Kränzl, Peru. The type specimens were lost during the war.
Recently, Felisberto de Camargo collected on leaves of Tecoma sp. at Piracicaba, new specimens, and these were identified as Uncinula peruviana Syd. While Sydow's specimens were immature, the Brasilian material bears abundant perithecia, asci and aacospores.
It is proposed a neo-type for the species (IAC.8163) bearing asci and ascospores instead of the immature specimens collected by Weberbauer (7166) in Peru.
